Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Proyecto Colibrí. By registering for any class, event, or experience offered through Proyecto Colibrí, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before participating.

 

1. Registration & Payment

All classes and experiences require advance registration. Enrollment is confirmed only after full payment is received.

Spots are limited (maximum 8 participants per session), and spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Proyecto Colibrí reserves the right to decline or cancel a registration at its discretion.

 

2. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Because class sizes are intentionally small and materials are prepared in advance:

Cancellations made 7 or more days before the session may receive a credit toward a future class.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the session are non-refundable.

No-shows are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If Proyecto Colibrí must cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive either:

A full refund, or the option to transfer to a future session.

 

3. Assumption of Risk (Cooking Classes)

Participants acknowledge that cooking activities involve the use of kitchen equipment, sharp utensils, and heated surfaces.

By attending a Cooking & Conversation session, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

Proyecto Colibrí is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during participation.

Participants agree to follow all safety instructions provided during the session.

 

4. Food Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

All ingredients are provided for Cooking & Conversation sessions.

Participants are responsible for informing Proyecto Colibrí of any food allergies or dietary restrictions prior to the session. While reasonable efforts may be made to accommodate dietary needs, Proyecto Colibrí cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Participants attend and consume food at their own discretion and risk.

 

5. Language Classes Disclaimer

Language development outcomes vary by individual. Proyecto Colibrí does not guarantee fluency or specific proficiency results. Progress depends on attendance, participation, and personal practice outside of class.

 

6. Photography & Media

Proyecto Colibrí may occasionally take photos or short video clips during sessions for marketing and promotional purposes.

By attending, you consent to the possible use of your image unless you notify Proyecto Colibrí in writing prior to the session.

 

7. Conduct & Community Expectations

Proyecto Colibrí is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Participants agree to:

  • Treat others with respect

  • Engage appropriately in group discussions

  • Follow all safety guidelines

Proyecto Colibrí reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful. In such cases, refunds will not be issued.

 

8. Language Immersion Retreats (Coming Soon)

Language Immersion Retreats are currently in development and not yet open for registration.

When available, separate and detailed retreat-specific terms — including travel policies, deposits, cancellations, and liability waivers — will apply.

 

9. Liability Limitation

Proyecto Colibrí shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in classes or events.

Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

 

10. Modifications

Proyecto Colibrí reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued participation in classes or use of the website constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
